04740 - SUN/HP Recovery Specialist II (SUN/HP)

Tues-Sat: 2nd Shift

Provide high-level technical support during problem determination and resolution. Interfaces directly with customer to provide operational support during testing or a disaster. Review test plan documents and set up required system resources prior to start of subscriber's test. Review subscriber's prior test history to anticipate issues and prevent recurrence of previous problems. Create and maintain written status reports during subscriber testing activities. Conduct pre-testing and Professional Services activities as required. Assist with equipment installation/relocation. Participate in subscriber conference calls and workshops. Assist in training and mentoring the RS I. Additional responsibilities as assigned.

BS degree or equivalent work experience required. Certification a plus. Minimum 3 years operational experience in a SUN/HP UNIX environment. Strong knowledge of SUN/HP server hardware and peripherals. Strong knowledge of UNIX administration and troubleshooting. 2 years working in a PC/LAN environment. 3-year experience in a role involving direct customer contact (internal and external customers). Knowledge of backup-restore methodologies, exposure to large-scale hardware configurations is a plus. Previous experience in a DR role a plus. Working knowledge of TCP/IP. Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds as needed. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work off shifts and weekends. Must be self-motivated, team player and able to immediately contribute to a fast paced, deadline intensive environment. Must be able to learn quickly in a highly technical fast paced environment. Proficiency in Windows based applications, Word, Excel and database experience.

05754 - Senior Windows System Admin/Engineer

Key new opportunity for an experienced Windows System Admin/Engineer to join an industry leader in North Wilmington, DE. Fast pace, profitable, growth oriented organization. Windows infrastructure skills in an XP environment. Must be experienced in Windows Active Directory, Exchange (currently on 2000 looking to migrate to Exchange 2003 this year) SMS, Citrix, running Native Mode.

Current environment has over 100 servers with 1000 + users, some international (Tokyo, Hong Kong and Edinburgh).

The individual will be expected to be able to do multi projects concurrently some on their own others as a team member. Scripting and or VB would be a big plus to write some management reports and do some other things with Outlook.

06755 - Unix-Sun/Linux Hardware Specialist

Accountable for all aspects of the server life-cycle management, which includes order preparation, order tracking, receiving, installation, inventory, spares and retirement. This position will also be accountable for tactical data center planning relative to space management and forecasting, server arrangement, power consumption, wiring and cooling. Finally, this position will serve as a liaison to hardware vendors for break/fix needs as well as Facilities for operational issues. The ideal candidate will provide junior-level Unix administration support in times of low to moderate hardware activity. Specifically, they will grow to understand the Unix and Windows fundamentals needed to install base operating systems and perform shutdown, boot and reboot operations for more involved hardware maintenance needs. Requirements for this position are 1-2 years server hardware experience. A bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field is very desirable. Some classes in electrical engineering disciplines are preferred. This Delaware-based position is expected to support two data center locations and travel to NYC accordingly.

06756 - Sun/Solaris/Linux System Administrator

Administrator will provide second shift coverage (2pm-10pm, Tues-Sat) for the growing Unix server fleet. Technology currently has no dedicated second shift system administration presence, which is needed to meet longer-term coverage objectives. This position will be accountable for the application of routine maintenance, therefore alleviating more senior positions of this after-hours burden. In addition, this position will serve as a first responder for after-hours operational issues escalated by Production Operations. Requirements for this position are 2-3 years Unix operating system experience, specializing in Sun Solaris. Experience with one of the following preferred, but not necessarily required Red Hat Unix, Apache, Sybase, Windows Server, Cisco and computing networking. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is very desirable. This is a Delaware-based position.
